The Eve of Janus, started in 1970, is the longest-running fundraising event for Children's Hospital and has become an important Nashville tradition. Funds raised during the event have gone directly to the Tri Delta Pediatric Hematology Oncology Clinic at Children's Hospital to support the program's vital contributions to research, training and patient care.
In 2011, the Eve of Janus announced the Tri Delta Pediatric Cancer Endowed Research Fund. The Nashville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Delta Delta has given more than $4 million to Children's Hospital and the fund.
The Tri Delta Pediatric Hematology Oncology Clinic at Children's Hospital is a highly specialized medical facility that offers comprehensive treatment to children with cancer and blood diseases. The clinic provides family-centered, exceptional patient care and translational research, where providers bring new therapies to patients' bedsides.
Although cure rates have risen, the incidences of cancer continue to rise, especially in adolescents.
The Tri Delta Pediatric Hematology Oncology Clinic works closely with Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center. We are one of a select group of National Cancer Institute-designated cancer centers in the Southeast and the only one in Tennessee dedicated to providing the most promising therapies and advancing research in all types of cancer in children and adults.
