2020-2021 residency year recruiting update

Thank you for your interest in our program and your patience as we continue to navigate the virtual recruiting world in the midst of the COVID pandemic. Please note the following updates:

  • All interviews will be virtual
  • We will recruit for one PGY1 and one PGY2 position. With the unusual circumstances in a pandemic year, we chose to go through the early commitment process and filled one PGY2 position with our current resident.

Program overview

Monroe Carell Jr Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt is nationally recognized as a leader in pediatric healthcare. Pharmacy plays an integral role in the care and well-being of all of our patients, from the tiniest patient in our level IV NICU to a teenager on ECMO in our PICU. We are dedicated to providing the best pharmacotherapeutic care for our patients.

The Department of Pharmacy offers many continuing education programs on a regular basis for our pharmacists and technicians, precepts numerous Pharm.D. students from various schools of pharmacy and offers two ASHP-accredited, 12-month pediatric residencies for pharmacists interested in pursuing post-graduate work in pediatric pharmacy.
