The Vanderbilt-Meharry-Matthew Walker Center of Excellence in Sickle Cell Disease is a federally funded program and a national leader in sickle cell treatment and research.
We offer comprehensive care for children and young adults living with sickle cell disease, including asthma treatment and lung function testing, heart screening, stroke screening and prevention, kidney health and eye exams.
The adult sickle cell disease clinic is integrated with our center. We are dedicated to making the transition from pediatric to adult care as seamless as possible.
