Shichun Bao MD

I came to Dr. Bao during a time where I hard largely been dismissed previously. She spoke with me, listened to what I had to say and listened to my lived experience as well as my specific safety concerns. I left the very first appointment with more hope and management and safety than I'd ever dreamed. My case is not exactly textbook as I have other, more complicated genetic conditions involved. This can make typical requirements for surgical procedures (before, during and after) range anywhere from inhumane to dangerous and because my condition is uncommon and portions of my presentation are even less common it makes navigating care with other providers difficult. I was able to come to Dr. Bao with these challenges and concerns and we devised a modified management plan that was safe, sure and humane. Once this was done, she effectively communicated to my surgical team(s) via detailed letter and opened herself to be contacted should they need additional support. Without her ability to modify to my condition's specific needs and her willingness to develop and communicate necessary pre, intra and perioperative management guidelines to the attending surgical teams I would not have been able to safely and successfully participate in multiple, much needed surgeries. I am beyond thankful for her support, expertise and management.

Dr. Bao has been WONDERFUL taking care of me ! She's VERY THOROUGH - checks on me as needed! I've had great results since she became my endocrinologist and I don't think there is any better!
