Dr Chin always listens and and finds ways to keep me moving.

I came prepared with family medical history and list of symptoms and timeline. I felt many of my symptoms were disregarded, despite the length of time I have been experiencing them. I feel that because I appear to have good health and good mobility, my symptoms (which affect me daily and disrupt my work life) and reduced abilities are just not as bad as the typical rheum patient. An abnormal antibody result from my pcp administered tests was not a concern to the doctor that I visited at Vanderbilt. She elected not to look the antibody any further once the ANA tested negative. I wanted to see a rheum to prevent damage to my major organs and am now left with no diagnosis, no plan to protect my major organs, and no follow up appointment. I don't think seronegative presence of autoimmune disease is a concern for this doctor. I know my symptoms and that something is not right with my body. I am considering waiting a year and going through the referral and waiting process all over again with another doctor to get a second opinion.

Dr. Chin has directed my care for decades and the treatment plan has kept me functioning well with my chronic disease. She always listens intently to my current medical condition, orders labs and provides direct communication if something is concerning to her and provides a plan. I love her as my Rheumatologist and fully trust her care of me and my chronic illness.
