Dr Fahrenholz gave clear explanations and spent appropriate time taking a detailed history to better understand the source of my allergies and what treatment options he felt were appropriate. He listened carefully and thoughtfully. The allergy fellow who was assisting (Dr Anwar) took an incredibly detailed history and was very thoughtful in trying to identify any sources of my allergies.

He said empathetic things, but the actions didn't pair. The only things tried were what I suggested. He didn't seem to care to try to understand the why behind why I can't take antihistamines (any of them!) and why they exasperate my symptoms and instead told me to go to a local allergist. He didn't share why I don't fit MCAS even though my symptoms do. It felt like he didn't really care to help me and was dumping me off on a local doctor. (All of whom have told me I need to see a specialist because I'm outside of their realm). Both times after seeing him, I started contacting and looking into natural health options because I'm desperate and he's supposed to be the best of the best but still have zero answers or desire to help.

Although I was there mistakenly several hours early, they chose to see me then, at the risk of their schedule and Dr. F spent time with me, never rushed or made me feel hurried out of my appt.! Which is huge and shows he is genuinely concerned and cares about all of his patients!

I have an allergy to Allegra D, he said I'm allergic to the D and not the Allegra. I tried it, had reaction, informed Dr and was told to follow up six months. I asked for sooner. Now follow up will be in 3 weeks

Everything was great!

I felt gaslighted. He said the symptoms I've seen on forums aren't true. Well for thousands of us with MCAS they are and we're being tested for everything else and our other doctors think it's the MCAS causing the symptoms. I'm not returning to him

Dr. Fahrenholz is one of those rare, special providers that connects and cares about his patients individually and to an extent her remembers me every time. He is the first doctor that has given me hope and progress with my illness. He listens, involves me in treatment decisions, and has a great deal of patience.

Dr. Fahrenholz has always been wonderful about listening to me and addressing my concerns. He is always friendly while remaining very professional.
