The Doctor brought up a breast imaging I had done (unrelated to my appointment, but I wasn't that concerned that it was brought up). Although it was clear I was uncomfortable (male doctor, two male residents, and my father were in the room with me), he kept pushing the matter. I am 18 but he only directed questions to my father, who has not been to any appointments concerning the breast imaging. When I tried to explain that, he talked over me and continued only speaking to my father.

Doctor Lovvorn was hands down the worst doctor I've had, and I've had a vast amount of care providers in my life. First of all, the visit felt rushed once he finally came in. He arrived with a doctor I was unaware of and only told us his name and not what he was here for. Not long after he came in, he asked me to lay down on the exam bed and pull my shirt up. I pulled my shirt up to expose my abdomen (the issue I was being seen for was affecting that area). He proceeded to touch me for a moment before asking if he could. Not purely a red flag, but it was odd. When he was examining my abdomen, it didn't feel professionally correct whatsoever. I've been seen for GI issues for years, so I've grown familiar with the typical gestures. He barely pushed or prodded. After that, we went to discussing the root of my issues. Out of no where, he heavily reassured me and my mother that it was not a female reproductive issue. I found this odd considering the fact that I've been having issues in my URQ, nowhere near my uterus After telling me and my mother that he didn't know what to do, he gave a heavily unsympathetic sorry.' Overall, his presence felt extremely uncomfortable, and he almost had an aura of superiority. He did not have an ounce of sympathy in his voice and felt domineering and cold.

We were able to discuss what we had to discuss, but it seemed like we were rushed a little. Even just an extra couple of minutes would have been nice. But I understand that you are busy, and we are pleased with the care that we received.

Provider seemed experienced and convincing. We didn't talk about length of treatment (2-3 years according to some sites, not negligible) or other solutions for the same problem.

This visit was just an off visit. I didn't feel like my concerns were being heard, but normally Dr. Lovvorn is great at explaining everything. It also could be that I was more of a worrywart this visit.
