I had seen another Dr for the same problem and was not happy with the interaction or the options for resolution. Dr Polkowski had a completely different take on how to treat the issue and was sincerely proposing options that were not as aggressive as the previous Dr. (who is not a Vandy doc).

Dr. Polkowski gave an in depth explanation of what the X-ray revealed. He answered my question in detail and gave me a clear understanding of what to expect pre-op and post-op. Seems like a real nice guy too.

The doctor was very caring about me and my pain and how I was and how we were going to handle the problem and what we would do at this time and all.

Excellent experience

Dr. Polkowski is a highly trained orthopedist. I am 7 years post operative from a L TKR. I've had a very good outcome due to his surgical expertise and my own determination to recover. He referred me on to another orthopedist to address an orthopedic issue that is out of his specialization. I am grateful. I also appreciate his willingness to train orthopedic residents. His resident was attentive and skilled during his examination of my knee.
