Donate Items to Monroe Carell
What can I donate?
Keeping our patients safe is our priority! We can only accept brand new items and recently purchased toys, activities, and comfort items. Due to strict privacy and infection control guidelines, we are unable to offer opportunities for donors to hand out items directly to patients.
We cannot accept:
- Used items
- Donations that are gift wrapped or inside gift bags
- Food
- Toy weapons
- Toys with button batteries
- Bikes, scooters, or skateboards
- Latex items
- Get well cards
- Religious or politically themed items
- Toys containing water beads
Shop our wish lists:
Our team has specifically selected items that help support the developmental and coping needs of our patients. Items purchased from the wish lists can be shipped directly to our hospital or you can choose to purchase the selected items from another retailer of your choice.
How do I donate items?
- 1. Purchase items from any retailer and schedule a drop-off appointment to deliver your items in person.
Once you are ready to make your donation, please reach out to Volunteer Services by email at ChampToyChest@vumc.org or by phone at 615-322-2379.

Wednesday, December 9 9:00am-5:00pm
Thursday, December 10 9:00am-5:00pm

Monday, December 14 9:00am-6:00pm
Tuesday, December 15 9:00am-8:00pm
Wednesday, December 16 9:00am-8:00pm*Appointments will be scheduled in 15-minute increments on a first come, first served basis.
**We will not be able to schedule holiday donation drop off appointments after Wednesday, December 16th. After the 16th, all drop-off appointments will be scheduled starting in January.
