The doctors and nurses in Monroe Carell's Ophthalmology Program are highly trained in caring for children's eyes and vision. Our specialized team provides surgery to treat children and teenagers who have cataracts, crossed eyes or intraocular tumors.

In partnership with The Tennessee Lions Club, we also evaluate and treat children who fail routine vision screenings.

Through Project PAVE we provide comprehensive clinical low vision services to children ages 3 to 21 in local education agencies (LEAs) of Tennessee and the Tennessee School for the Blind.
