Why Choose Cystic Fibrosis Care at Children‘s Hospital

  • Recognized care

Our program was recognized with the CF Foundation Quality Award at the most recent accreditation site visit in 2018.

  • Collaborative care

Our program is a member of the Therapeutics Development Network, a subset of CF Foundation accredited programs that participate as a network for providing opportunities for patient participation in research, including access to clinical trials and observational studies.

  • Team of experts

Our team includes experts from across Children's Hospital, including nursing, CF-specific dietitians, pharmacists, physical and respiratory therapists, a mental health coordinator and social workers, as well specialists in pediatric pulmonology, gastroenterology, ENT and endocrinology.

  • Comprehensive care

Our clinic provides your family with initial education, comprehensive care and support when your child is diagnosed with cystic fibrosis through newborn screening or later in childhood. We also provide your child with an evaluation and work-up if we suspect but have not yet diagnosed CF. Testing occurs within our clinic and may include sweat chloride testing and/or blood work for genetic testing.
