The Spasticity Clinic at Monroe Carell is designed for children with increased muscle tightness and other spasticity symptoms. Spasticity management is complex. It’s important that you seek comprehensive care from an expert team that understands the long-term effects of spasticity on your child and family.

Our team includes experts in all established methods of spasticity treatment and pioneers in new treatment techniques. Our goal is to provide care that will optimize your child’s physical abilities. Mollie's Story

At age 2, Mollie was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. After trying several treatment options, selective dorsal rhizotomy surgery helped Mollie walk better than before and become more independent. Ours is the only children's hospital in Tennessee that offers this surgery for children with spasticity.
