Dr Thomas is one of the most skilled, compassionate, humble, knowledgeable, advocate and essy to work with doctors at the hospital. He is an absolute asset to the hospital and to patients and families. The hospital would be missing a piece of it without his presence. He brings not only his knowledge but a joy to patients that can't be described in words because he takes time to connect with them and he brings a brightness to the entire visit. When you see him in the hospital, his brightness shines to everyone, staff and families and patients. We are so incredibly lucky to have him as my son's doctor.

Dr Thomas is the best thing about Vanderbilt Children's. He's so kind, patient and genuinely loves kids and his job. We stay with Vanderbilt because of him.

Dr Thomas was very skilled in medicine and communication. He listened carefully what I had to say as the parent and noted that he always finds parent information very valuable in diagnosis and treatment. We brainstormed a medication for my son together, with my input of my son's actual life driving the direction of the medication decision. I was extremely happy with Dr Thomas. I felt he really cared about my son and he respected me as a knowledgeable parent, someone to have a conversation about care with rather than dole out orders to follow. I feel that my son is in good hands with Dr Thomas and he will be well cared for through his vast experience. Dr Thomas also reworked his schedule to accommodate our next appointment on the same day as another Dr appointment to save us an additional commute. He looked up an over the counter hard to find supplement online and made a recommendation for my son. To top it off, he personally made sure when we left that my son was escorted down the elevator and I was escorted down the stairs (I do not go in elevators). He coordinated this graciously without grilling me about why I don't get in elevators. He just made it happen. Great Doctor and man of action. He won't stop until there is a good solution. I am so happy that my son has him as a Doctor!! Thank you Dr Thomas and staff!
