Infectious Diseases
Our team of pediatric infectious disease specialists at Monroe Carell features nationally and internationally-recognized leaders in caring for children with infectious diseases. Our doctors and other care team members specialize in vaccine development and safety, bacterial infections such as staph (MSSA/MRSA) and strep, and viral infections such as CMV (cytomegalovirus), HSV (herpes simplex virus) and HIV. We have special expertise in improving the health of children with compromised immune systems. We also work closely with our pediatric transplant teams to help patients avoid and heal from transplant-related infections.
Our clinic operates on a referral-only basis. Patients in our clinic have already visited with their pediatrician or primary care doctor and received a referral to us for additional patient care.
