New Onset Seizure Clinic

We know a seizure in a child can be frightening. That's why the the New Onset Seizure Clinic at Children's Hospital rapidly evaluates children who have experienced a first seizure or a seizure-like event. We usually see patients within one to two weeks of a referral placement. In many cases, the sooner we see your child, the more accurate the diagnosis can be. Your child will receive an EEG and a visit with a Neurology provider on the same day. We communicate EEG results and clinic visit details with your child’s primary care provider to help create a plan of care.
