Project ADAM Middle Tennessee

AEDs in schools save lives

Project ADAM (Automated Defibrillators in Adam’s Memory) aims to prevent death due to sudden cardiac arrest in children and teens. We educate students and school staff through life-saving programs. Based at Monroe Carell, we are committed to making automated external defibrillators (AEDs) available to all children and adolescents everywhere.

Vanderbilt and the Pediatric Heart Institute have created an affiliate Project ADAM program for Middle Tennessee schools. We help place AEDs in every school in the mid state and educate staff members on their use. This program is part of Children’s Hospital's vision to improve children’s health in Davidson and surrounding counties.
