The level of dedication and skill Dr. Clayton provides with our daughter's care is unparalleled. We have never met a doctor so kind, communicative, and thoughtful in how they practice medicine. Dr. Clayton is not only an incredibly skilled surgeon by his own merit, but he also takes great care to utilize all resources available to him to make sure that he is creating the most personalized and efficient treatment plan for our daughter and for our family. The passion he has for the well-being of his patients is evident each time we see him. We are so incredibly thankful for have our daughter under his service.

Dr. Clayton is a great doctor, he took the time to listen to the problem, offered all the options and took care of the issue immediately. He ordered a scan and asked us to come back as soon as we get it done to discuss the case. we got everything done at one visit and this was so great.

Dr. Clayton was not hurried. His focus was only on my son and he was not distracted while examining him. He listened carefully. He asked for time to review all of the records and scans from our physician in Knoxville. He called me that evening and discussed a plan for getting my son what he needed.

Dr. Clayton was very gentle and nice with our child. she does not like new doctors or new things and Vanderbilt children's hospital staff has went above and beyond to make my child feel safe and cared for.

Dr. Clayton was phenomenal!! Immediately upon entering the room, he bent down to my toddler and called him by name. He had a calm, reassuring demeanor, and he was very thorough in his recommendations to me. While he did give me guidance as to what he thought was best, he also left the door open for me to choose another option, so I didn't feel pressured or devalued as a parent. Ultimately, I opted for Dr. Clayton's recommendation because his subtle confidence in his recommendation made me feel as if he was treating my son the way he would if it were his own son. I had no doubts in his expertise because he explained all the circumstances in a way I could easily understand. I highly recommend him!!

*Dr. Clayton was thorough, patient, clear, and conservative (i.e., delay potential surgery in favor of observation). I really appreciated that he essentially repeated himself so that my husband could hear it all again over the phone (he couldn't be there in _____.)
